Need A New Home....

For a cool $7 million or so, this one could be yours! Isn't it divine. You'll know, if you're a regular to my blog, that I'm a big lover of old timber homes. They have so much texture, detail and soul - having carried the energy of the generations who have graced their halls. Hunting around for inspiration for my own more humble reno, I came across this grand old dame here, which is situated not far from where I live. Of course, I had to take a sticky beak! And I wasn't disappointed. No stone has been left unturned, every detail has been meticulously restored with love and care. So inspiring, I hope you love the pics....

If you love old grand wooden houses, you will love this home which was my late grandmother's in Launceston. I remember so clearly visiting it as a child with the endless realm of rooms, a beautiful balcony, big kitchen and lots of fresh raspberries off her bushes out the back! Amazing! I think it was this home which started my own love for interiors, architecture and all things white! (http://maps.google.com.au/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=george+street+launceston&sll=-25.335448,135.745076&sspn=40.861966,79.101563&ie=UTF8&ll=-41.442549,147.14309&spn=0.008413,0.019312&t=h&z=16&layer=c&cbll=-41.442809,147.145709&panoid=0z3v1W34VjGN69CWPHNc_g&cbp=12,21.182202858759524,,0,-0.536308453831201). Let me know if this link does not work and I can send it another way, or search google maps for the corner of Balfour and George Streets, Launceston and look for the big white weatherboard house on the corner. The verandah was enclosed when I was young.
